SambaNova Systems Appoints Two New Board Members to Help Drive Long-Term Growth as Traction for Company’s Industry-Redefining Technology Accelerates

Industry Veterans Amy Chang and Anthony Lin Bring Extensive Leadership and Technology Acumen


PALO ALTO, Calif., Dec. 15, 2020 (Business Wire) — SambaNova Systems, the company building the industry’s most advanced systems platform to develop and deploy next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) and data-intensive applications from the data center to the cloud and the edge, today announced the appointment of Amy Chang and Anthony Lin to the company’s Board of Directors. Both appointees bring extensive experience guiding large corporations through sustained periods of growth, and will provide key leadership as SambaNova gains traction in the marketplace with its industry-redefining technology.

Amy Chang joins SambaNova with an impressive resume of board leadership. She currently serves on the board of directors of Procter & Gamble, following distinguished appointments on the boards of Cisco, Informatica and Splunk. Previously, Chang was co-founder and CEO of Accompany, a relationship intelligence platform acquired by Cisco in 2018. Following the acquisition, Chang served as executive vice president and general manager of a 6,000-person team within Cisco, leading the company’s video conferencing, cloud calling, contact center, video device and phones businesses.

Anthony Lin is vice president of Intel Corporation and acting head of Intel Capital, where he leads equity investing and mergers and acquisitions. He joined Intel in 2008 following corporate finance, M&A and private equity positions at Banc of America Securities, ASAT, Merrill Lynch and PaineWebber. In his role as head of Intel Capital, he oversees equity investments in innovative technology startups and companies across the globe. Intel Capital is one of the world’s largest, longest-serving and most-successful corporate venture organizations and a lead investor in SambaNova.

He co-founded a company based on his research that was acquired in 2017.
